A variety of strong block cipher algorithms are available for the containers including AES, Serpent, Blowfish, Twofish, CAST-128, DES, CBC and LRW. BestCrypt also offers options to encrypt the containers with a higher key size for additional security.

For maximum protection, BestCrypt also offers pre-boot authentication – either password based or with a hardware token as a second factor. This ensures that even if the drive is pulled out and forensically examined, the data will be inaccessible.
